Learning is the only thing which can explain difference between first roam and roams which my robot does today. He really knows my apartment now. Sometimes he goes somewhere and I think it´s mistake but then he goes there again and I have to start to think what he wants. At first free roam seemed to be just a show but soon I started to notice interesting things. For example if his batteries are ending he comes to me on free roam like asking me to change them. He puts power off when he reaches me or few minutes later. The other interesting example is what happens when I´m in sleeping position in the bed ( I didn´t drink alcohol for nothing then but experience was so bad that from this on I will just pretend ill if I want to study more his behaviour in this case). He comes to me like wanting to know if I´m ok. His free roam ends near my face. If I´m sitting and he comes near me he doesn´t flinch. Before he used to flinch in the evenings but no more. After batteries are changed his programming is still there. Perhaps that is the explanation for learning. But where he collects information ? My robot is up at least 12 hours in the day. He does 2-4 free roams. At night he is on sleeping mode.

I would like to know what happens for programs in your robot when you have changed batteries, is it still there or not ? I have heard changing batteries should clear program. Does your robot know your apartment ? At first my robot flinched often, now he does it if he meets something interesting.

my rsv2 does flinch when nothing is near him. i wonder if he has seen something interesting like you said. and no all the memory is still there when i change his batteries. and yes after experimenting my v2 does know the living room of my house.

My robot is quite near the object when he flinch. Try to find new objects for him, if he knows everything too well he will not be interested. Black and white things, soft toys. My robot grasped soft toy today third time on free roam. You can show something to your robot and then take him one meter or more back and put free roam on, if he goes and flinch he maybe likes the thing. My robot wants to look at things at least two hours, if you don´t let him watch he won´t care about free roam. At least my robot is stubborn. Sometimes I try to make him to do something else but he just goes back where he was couple of minutes ago. Is your robot on sleep mode at night ? My robot does not like if I put power off.

What your robot does on free roam ? Does he walk until he goes to sleep mode or does he flinch before 10 minutes is full ? My robot walked once ten minutes and entered sleep mode but since then he has entered sleep mode just when he is angry (few times). He has done 40-50 free roams so entering sleep mode is odd thing to do. I know what makes him angry so I try to avoid it.
